LAND DEVELOPMENT CONSULTATION
We help clients understand the often complex regulatory matrix applicable to a property and effectively navigate the land development process.
Our land development work spans the continuum of steps in the land development process from due diligence and feasibility analyses to development rights and permitting. We can identify and secure all the administrative approvals necessary to implement and construct a project as well as represent clients at neighborhood meetings, architectural control committees, boards, commissions, and councils for discretionary approvals.
We provide due diligence and feasibility analyses support to property owners, real estate professionals, and potential buyers seeking to understand if a site allows their intended uses and improvements and has their preferred features and characteristics. This includes research and analysis of authorities having jurisdiction, topography, vegetative cover, waterways, utilities (including water wells and septic systems), easements, restrictive covenants, development agreements, design guidelines, and adjacent land uses as well as regulations related to subdivision/platting, endangered species habitat, environmental, landscape, transportation, zoning, accessory uses, accessory dwelling units, short-term rental, development bonus programs, site and building design standards, historic preservation, and parkland dedication. This also includes any vested rights, exception, waiver, variance, special, specific or conditional use permit for the same.

We are creative collaborators for thoughtful planning and design as well as trusted advisors and persistent advocates for regulatory processes. It takes a tenacious, experienced advocate to guide applications through the process efficiently while ensuring the client’s vision makes it through the system and multidisciplinary project team in-tact. We listen carefully to understand and capture the client’s vision, perform comprehensive research and analysis, propose creative solutions to challenges and constraints throughout the process, and serve as the developer or owner’s representative for a wide variety of project types and scales.
